Mark Daniel Stoneman (born 26 June 1987) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire County Cricket Club and has previously played for England.{{cite web | url = https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/85/85797/85797.html| title = Mark Stoneman| publisher = www.cricketarchive.com | accessdate = 2010-03-16}} He made his international debut for England in August 2017.{{cite web|url=http://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/25885951/joe-denly-joins-england-list-30-plus-debutants |title=Late bloomers: Joe Denly joins England's list of 30-plus debutants |work=ESPN Cricinfo |accessdate=30 January 2019}} He bats left handed and normally plays as an opening batsman.

Early life and domestic career

Stoneman attended Marley Hill County Primary School, followed by Whickham School. He joined Durham in 2005 and played two seasons in the second eleven, before making his first team debut in 2007.{{Citation needed|date=February 2025}}

Stoneman scored 50 in his second match, against Hampshire and what was then his highest score, 101, in a victory over Sussex in September 2007.{{Citation needed|date=February 2025}}

International career

Stoneman played for England in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.
