Mark Thorburn (born 1 August 1978) is an English cricket coach and former first-class cricketer.
Thorburn was born in August 1978 at Bath, Somerset. He was educated at Beechen Cliff School, before matriculating to Durham University. There, he played first-class cricket for Durham UCCE,{{cite web|url=https://www.gloscricket.co.uk/player/mark-thorburn/|title=Mark Thorburn|website=www.gloscricket.co.uk|accessdate=19 April 2023}} making his debut against Lancashire at Durham. He played first-class cricket for Durham UCCE until 2002, making five appearances.{{cite web|url=https://cricketarchive.com/Archive/Players/6/6843/f_Bowling_by_Team.html|title=First-Class Bowling For Each Team by William Scott|publisher=CricketArchive|accessdate=19 April 2023|url-access=subscription}} He trialled for Hampshire in 2003, making a single first-class appearance for the county against Oxford UCCE at Oxford. After his first-class career, Thorburn moved into a coaching role at Gloucestershire.
