The Markel Building is an office building commissioned by the Markel Corporation and designed by Haigh Jamgochian{{cite web|url=http://www.styleweekly.com/richmond/the-visionary/Content?oid=1378451|title=The Visionary|first=Brandon|last=Walters|work=styleweekly.com|accessdate=30 October 2016}}{{cite web|url=http://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaxtf/view?docId=lva/vi01226.xml|title=A Guide to the Haigh Jamgochian Papers, circa 1930-2006 |work=virginia.edu|accessdate=30 October 2016}} located on Markel Road just outside the city limits of Richmond, Virginia in Henrico County. The building was inspired by a baked potato wrapped in foil served to Jamgochian while attending an American Institute of Architects' dinner.
