Marshchapel is a coastal village and civil parish in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is approximately {{Convert|11|mi|km|0}} south-east from Grimsby and {{Convert|13|mi|km|0}} north-east from Louth. The church, dedicated to St Mary is a Grade I listed building dating from the 15th century with a chancel dating from 1848.{{cite PastScape|mnumber=354697|mname= St Marys Church|access-date=12 June 2011}}{{cite web|title=Church of St Mary, Marshchapel|url=http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-195343-church-of-st-mary-marsh-chapel|publisher=British Listed Buildings|access-date=12 June 2011}} St Mary's is often referred to as the "Cathedral of the Marshes". In the churchyard is a cross dating from the 14th century which was originally sited at the crossroads near West End.
