Marvel Treasury Edition is an American comic book series published by Marvel Comics from 1974 to 1981.{{cite book |last1=Sacks |first1=Jason |last2=Dallas |first2=Keith |title=American Comic Book Chronicles: The 1970s |date=2014 |publisher=TwoMorrows Publishing |isbn=978-1605490564 |pages=134–135}} It usually featured reprints of previously published stories but a few issues contained new material. The first such Treasury was entitled The Spectacular Spider-Man, simply dated 1974 and sported an iconic John Romita cover illustration.}} The series concluded with the second Superman and Spider-Man intercompany crossover. Marvel also published treasuries under the titles Marvel Special Edition and Marvel Treasury Special as well as a number of one-shots.
