Matthew Lee Andriese ({{IPAc-en|æ|n|ˈ|d|r|iː|s}}; born August 28, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Angels, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, and Miami Marlins. He has also played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Yomiuri Giants.

Career

=Amateur career=

Andriese attended Redlands East Valley High School, where he played for the school's baseball team along with Tyler Chatwood. He was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 37th round of the 2008 MLB draft, but did not sign with Texas. At the start of the 2017 season, Andriese was the fifth pitcher in the Rays rotation, he started the season going 5–1 with a 3.54 ERA in 12 starts before falling victim to a stress reaction in his hip in mid-June. =Arizona Diamondbacks=

=Los Angeles Angels=
