Club career

=Early career=

Valoti was born in Vicenza on 6 September 1993, the son of former footballer Aladino Valoti, who played for several Serie A and Serie B teams during the late 1980s and 1990s and was the director of football at Albinoleffe.{{cite news |title=Mattia Valoti |url=http://sport.sky.it/sport/calcio_italiano/2011/01/26/giovani_talenti_serie_b_mattia_valoti_albinoleffe.html |work=skt.it |publisher=SKY Italia |date=31 January 2011 |accessdate=2 September 2011 |language=Italian |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20120327025120/http://sport.sky.it/sport/calcio_italiano/2011/01/26/giovani_talenti_serie_b_mattia_valoti_albinoleffe.html |archive-date=27 March 2012 |url-status=dead }}

Mattia started playing football at the age of 5 in the youth team of Lucchese, the club where his father was playing at the time. Over the next eight years, Mattia played for several clubs, namely Cosenza, Palermo, Crotone, Martina Franca and Dalmine Futura, as a result of his father's transfers.{{cite news |title=Mattia Valoti |url=http://www.tuttonazionali.com/?action=read&idnotizia=617 |author=Alessandro Paoli |work=tuttonazionali.com |date=14 July 2011 |accessdate=2 September 2011 |language=Italian}}

=Albinoleffe=

In 2006, Valoti settled at AlbinoLeffe, spending five seasons in the club's youth system. He went on to make his professional debut, aged 17, coming on as a substitute in a Coppa Italia game against Crotone, on 27 October 2010. Three days later, he also made his Serie B debut, again coming off the bench in a match against Novara.

During the January 2011 transfer window, Serie A club AC Milan signed Valoti on a co-ownership deal worth €800,000,[http://www.acmilan.com/uploads/club/bilancio2011/pdf/Bilancio_gruppo_Milan_2011.pdf AC Milan bilancio 2011] {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150616063502/http://www.acmilan.com/uploads/club/bilancio2011/pdf/Bilancio_gruppo_Milan_2011.pdf |date=16 June 2015 }} page 45 {{in lang|it}} though they allowed Albinoleffe to keep him on loan for the remainder of the season.{{cite news |title=Mattia Valoti al Milan |url=http://www.albinoleffe.com/settore-giovanile/news-settore-giovanile/2151-mattia-valoti-al-milan.html |work=albinoleffe.com |publisher=Unione Calcio Albinoleffe |date=19 January 2011 |accessdate=2 September 2011 |language=Italian}}
