Mayra Rivera

Biography

Rivera was born and raised in Puerto Rico.{{Cite web |last=Gibson |first=Lydialyle |date=2020-10-08 |title=Mayra Rivera |url=https://www.harvardmagazine.com/2020/11/jhj-portrait-mayra-rivera |access-date=2022-11-14 |website=Harvard Magazine |language=en}} After first receiving a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez, Rivera received a PhD (2005) in theological and religious studies from Drew University.
