The McLaren M15 was an open-wheel race car designed and built by the McLaren team for a single season of competition in 1970, and was their first attempt at making an Indy car. It was later replaced by the more successful McLaren M16, which went on to win three Indy 500s; in 1972, 1974 and 1976.{{Cite web |last=Brown |first=Allen |title=McLaren M15A car-by-car histories |url=https://www.oldracingcars.com/mclaren/m15a/ |access-date=2022-05-28 |website=OldRacingCars.com |date=20 July 2019 |language=en}}{{Cite web |title=McLaren Racing - McLaren's IndyCars |url=https://www.mclaren.com/racing/heritage/mclaren-indycars-2134214/ |access-date=2022-05-28 |website=www.mclaren.com |language=en}}{{Cite web |title=1970 McLaren M15 Offenhauser - Images, Specifications and Information |url=https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/4411/McLaren-M15-Offenhauser.html |access-date=2022-05-28 |website=Ultimatecarpage.com}}{{Cite web |title=Indy 500 Cars – Bruce McLaren |url=https://bruce-mclaren.com/indy-500-cars/ |access-date=2022-05-28 |language=en-NZ}}{{Cite web | title = McLaren History and Heritage | url=https://cars.mclaren.press/ww/company/history-heritage |website=McLaren Press Room| access-date=2024-06-10|language=en}}{{Cite web |last=World |first=Auto Sport |title=Find out all the information about the race car McLaren M15.
