MecopodaServille (1831) Ann. Sci. nat. 22(86): 154 is the type genus of bush crickets of the subfamily Mecopodinae. Species can be found in India, China, Korea, Japan, Indochina, Malaysia and Melanesia.

The genus was revised in 2021; the Orthoptera Species File[http://orthoptera.speciesfile.org/Common/basic/Taxa.aspx?TaxonNameID=1135792 Orthoptera Species File: genus Mecopoda Serville, 1831 (Version 5.0/5.0 retrieved 8 November 2022)] now lists:
