Melbourne Phoenix were an Australian netball team that represented Netball Victoria in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. Between 1997 and 2007, together with Melbourne Kestrels, they were one of two teams to represent Netball Victoria in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy era. Phoenix were the inaugural CBT champions and went on to become the competition's most successful team, winning five premierships. In 2008, when the Commonwealth Bank Trophy was replaced by the ANZ Championship, Phoenix and Kestrels merged to form Melbourne Vixens.{{Cite web|url=https://melbournevixens.com.au/team/our-history|title=Melbourne Vixens - Our history|publisher=melbournevixens.com.au|accessdate=13 September 2020}}{{Cite web|url=https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=10426120|title=Netball: Mixed reaction to trans-Tasman competition|publisher=www.nzherald.co.nz|date=27 February 2007|accessdate=13 September 2020}}{{cite web|url=https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/netball/phoenix-brush-aside-kestrels/news-story/8436d3d41e753b1be6309a689775d9bc|title=Phoenix brush aside Kestrels|publisher=www.heraldsun.com.au|date=18 August 2007|accessdate=13 September 2020}}
