The M200 is a turbocharged inline-four engine produced since 2013 by Mercedes-Benz.

Design

The engine is based on the Renault H5Ft engine, marketed as Energy TCe 115, due to Daimler AG's collaboration with the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance.{{Cite web|url=http://www.powertrain.renault.com/our-range/powertrain-units-of-our-range/1.2-gdih5ft|title=Renault Powertrain : Powertrain units of our range|website=www.powertrain.renault.com|language=fr|access-date=2018-08-07|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150108030033/http://www.powertrain.renault.com/our-range/powertrain-units-of-our-range/1.2-gdih5ft|archive-date=2015-01-08|url-status=dead}} The M200 has a relatively square shape with a bore and stroke of {{convert|72x73.2|mm|in|2|abbr=on}}. It features 4 valves per cylinder, variable valve timing, a start-stop system, a three-way catalytic converter, and iron-carbon alloy coating on the cylinder walls to reduce friction.{{Cite web|url=http://media.daimler.com/marsMediaSite/instance/ko.xhtml?oid=9903739&filename=TecForum-Citan-New-variants-and-appointments-round-off-the-Citanmodel-range|title=TecForum Citan: New variants and appointments round off the Citanmodel range |website=marsMediaSite|language=en-EN|access-date=2018-08-07}} It is also compliant with the Euro 5 emission standards.{{Cite|title=Overview Of Engines - Mercedes-benz Citan 2012 Introduction Into Service Manual |page=29]}}
