Michael Joseph Fulmer (born March 15, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, and Chicago Cubs. Fulmer won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 2016, and was an All-Star in 2017.

Fulmer attended Deer Creek High School in Edmond, Oklahoma. On June 12, Fulmer pitched six scoreless innings, while allowing only two hits against the New York Yankees. =Chicago Cubs=

Fulmer returned to action in 2025, beginning the year with the Triple-A Worcester Red Sox. Pitching style

Fulmer throws hard four-seam and two-seam fastballs that average 94–97 MPH (topping out at 99 MPH). His offspeed pitches include a slider in the 88–93 MPH (topping out at 95 MPH) range, and a changeup that averages 85–88 MPH (topping out at 91 MPH). After struggling to a 6.52 ERA in his first four major league starts, Fulmer made an effort to throw more changeups.
