Michael David Reeve FBA (11 January 1943) is a British classicist and professor emeritus at Cambridge University. One of the foremost textual scholars of his generation, he has published widely on the transmission of Latin and Greek texts.Hunter and Oakley (2015) xiii-xiv. He served as the eighth Kennedy Professor of Latin.
Career
Reeve was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham and went on to study at Balliol College, Oxford. He was appointed a lecturer at the University of Oxford and made a fellow of Exeter College, Oxford in 1966. He remained in this position until 1984, when he was appointed Kennedy Professor of Latin at Cambridge University. In 1984, he was elected Fellow of the British Academy.

Reeve was the Sandars Reader in Bibliography in 2011-2012 speaking on "Printing the Latin Classics."
