Michelle Strinden (née Strecker){{Cite web |title=Lt. Early life and education
Strinden was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota to George and Betty Lou (Hafner) Strecker. She graduated from Bismarck Century High School in 1987. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary education from the University of North Dakota in 1991 and a Master of Science in counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1995.{{Cite web|title=Michelle Strinden's Biography|url=https://justfacts.votesmart.org/candidate/biography/181415/michelle-strinden|access-date=August 26, 2021|website=Vote Smart}} During her studies at the University of North Dakota, she worked on her future father-in-law Earl Strinden's campaign for the U.S. Senate election in 1988.
Career
Strinden worked as a school counselor in the West Fargo Public Schools.
