Middlestone is a village and former civil parish in the County Durham district, in the ceremonial county of Durham, England.{{cite map|title=Ordnance Survey: Landranger map sheet 93 Middlesbrough (Darlington & Hartlepool)|ISBN= 9780319228777 |publisher=Ordnance Survey|date=2010}} It is situated to the south of Spennymoor, near Kirk Merrington. Civil parish
