Midford Brook is a small river in Somerset, England.
It is formed by the convergence of the Wellow Brook and Cam Brook at Midford. It passes Tucking Mill and joins the River Avon close to the Dundas Aqueduct and the remains of the Somerset Coal Canal.{{cite web|url=http://www.envf.port.ac.uk/kacanal/html/KAC0191.HTM |title=KandAC mile 70 |work=Kennet and Avon Scrapbook 2000 |publisher=University of Portsmouth |access-date=2009-09-12 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20080915030734/http://www.envf.port.ac.uk/kacanal/html/KAC0191.HTM |archive-date=2008-09-15 }} For its entire length it defines the boundary between Bath & North East Somerset and Wiltshire.{{Cite web|url=https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/election-maps/gb/|title=Election Maps - Limpley Stoke parish|website=Ordnance Survey|access-date=11 February 2018}}
Although the Midford Brook is named on Ordnance Survey maps,{{cite web|url=http://maps.nls.uk/view/95749727|title=Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 maps of Great Britain, sheet ST76|date=1958|website=National Library of Scotland|access-date=12 February 2018}} the Environment Agency does not recognise it, instead identifying the Wellow Brook as continuing to the Avon.{{cite web|url=http://environment.data.gov.uk/catchment-planning/WaterBody/GB109053022271|title=Wellow Brook|website=Environment Agency - Catchment Data Explorer|access-date=11 February 2018}}
The Midford Brook has a catchment area of 147.4 km2 which is largely over impermeable Lias. The deep steep-sided valley means that it responds rapidly to rainfall.{{cite web|url=http://www.nerc-wallingford.ac.uk/ih/nrfa/station_summaries/053/005.html |title=53005 - Midford Brook at Midford |work=Station summaries |publisher=The National River Flow Archive |access-date=2009-09-12 |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110719135322/http://www.nerc-wallingford.ac.uk/ih/nrfa/station_summaries/053/005.html |archive-date=2011-07-19 }}
