Diocese

There are two bishops attributable to Mididi. The Catholic bishop Serenian attended the 411 Council of Carthage between the Catholic and Donatist bishops of Roman North Africa. On that occasion, the seat had no Donatist bishops. Eubodio took part in the 484 Synod of Carthage convened by the Arian king Huneric, after which Eubodio was exiled.[http://www.gcatholic.org/dioceses/former/t1157.htm entry] {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20170814180147/http://www.gcatholic.org/dioceses/former/t1157.htm |date=2017-08-14 }} at www.gcatholic.orgPius Bonifacius Gams, [http://www.wbc.poznan.pl/dlibra/doccontent?id=65154&dirids=1 Series episcoporum Ecclesiae Catholicae] {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150626233439/http://www.wbc.poznan.pl/dlibra/doccontent?id=65154&dirids=1 |date=2015-06-26 }}, (Leipzig, 1931), p. 467.Stefano Antonio Morcelli, [https://books.google.com/books?id=dO4-AAAAcAAJ&pg=PA227 Africa christiana] {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20240501223514/https://books.google.com/books?id=dO4-AAAAcAAJ&pg=PA227 |date=2024-05-01 }}, Volume I, Brescia 1816, p. 227 Fulgentius of Ruspe also founded a monastery near Mididi at the beginning of the 6th century.
