Michael Eugene Lester (born March 3, 1955) is an American conservative editorial cartoonist and artist who has worked as a children's book illustrator. He is also the creator of the syndicated comic strip Mike du Jour.
He was born in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mike du Jour launched in 1995, running in The Wall Street Journal until 1998.{{cite web|title=Mike Lester Moves Mike du Jour to Andrews McMeel|first=D. Lester had previously moved his editorial cartooning work to Andrews McMeel in 2021.
