Life

Milcho Manchevski was born on 18 October 1959 in Skopje, SR Macedonia, SFR Yugoslavia. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje's University.{{cite book |editor=Blaže Ristovski |title=Macedonian Encyclopedia |date=2009 |publisher=Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts |page=914 |language=mk}} Manchevski's Before the Rain was called "one of the greatest debut feature films in the history of cinema" by Annette Insdorf.
