Description

The codex contains a complete text of the four Gospels.{{r|Aland}} It contains also liturgical books with hagiographies: synaxarion and Menologion.{{r|Gregory}}

The biblical text is written in one column per page, 23-24 lines per page.{{r|Aland|INTF}} It was written in neat, and regular letters.{{r|Scrivener}}

The first three pages are written in gold, with exquisite miniatures, four on page 2, four on page 3.{{r|Scrivener}}

It has iota adscriptum.{{r|Gregory}}

The text is divided according to the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (chapters), whose numbers are given at the margin, with the {{lang|grc|τιτλοι}} (titles of chapters) at the top of the pages. There is also a division according to the Ammonian Sections, with references to the Eusebian Canons (written below Ammonian Section numbers).

It contains Prolegomena, Epistula ad Carpianum, Eusebian Canon tables, tables of the {{lang|grc|κεφαλαια}} (tables of contents) before each Gospel, lectionary equipment at the margin (for liturgical use), and pictures.{{Cite book

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type.{{Cite book | author = K.v. History
