Miscodera arctica is a species of beetles in the family Carabidae, the only species in the genus Miscodera.{{Cite web| title=Miscodera Eschscholtz, 1830 | url=https://www.catalogueoflife.org/data/taxon/8KX7N | website=Catalogue of Life | access-date=2023-04-08 }} It is circumpolar in distribution, predominantly northern,Lindroth, Carl H., 1961: The Ground-Beetles (Carabidae, excl. Its relationships have been long disputed. Here it is placed in subfamily Broscinae. While it certainly belongs to the more advanced ground beetles, it was alternatively placed in the subfamily Trechinae.
