The Mission Party ({{langx|hy|Առաքելություն կուսակցություն|translit=Arrak’elut’yun kusakts’ut’yun}}) was an Armenian political party founded on 2 February 2013.{{Cite news|url=https://armenpress.am/arm/news/698807|title=Հայաստանում նոր կուսակցություն է ստեղծվել|work=armenpress.am|access-date=2018-11-10|language=hy}} In August 2021, the party announced its decision to merge with the Country of Living Party.{{Cite web|url=https://www.evnreport.com/%D5%B0%D5%A1%D5%B5%D5%A5%D6%80%D5%A5%D5%B6/a-wave-of-new-political-parties-crashes-onto-the-scene-arm|title=Party failures on the political stage|website=evnreport.com}}

History

Its debut was at the 2013 Yerevan City Council election, where the party came in last place with less than 1% of the vote.

In the 2017 Armenian parliamentary election, the party participated as part of the Tsarukyan Alliance.{{Cite web|url=https://www.aravot.am/2017/02/04/852546/|title="Առաքելություն" կուսակցությունը միացավ "Ծառուկյան" դաշինքին|language=hy-AM}} The alliance won 31 seats in the National Assembly.

In the 2018 Yerevan City Council elections, the party joined Civil Contract and formed the My Step Alliance,{{Cite web|url=https://www.tert.am/am/news/2018/08/29/Araqelutyun/2777051|title="Առաքելություն" կուսակցությունը հայտարարել է Երևանու ավագանու ընտրություններին մասնակցելու մասին|website=www.tert.am|language=hy|access-date=2018-11-10|archive-date=2018-08-30|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20180830113106/https://www.tert.am/am/news/2018/08/29/Araqelutyun/2777051|url-status=dead}} which won the elections, and their candidate Hayk Marutyan became the Mayor of Yerevan. The My Step Alliance took part in the 2018 Armenian parliamentary elections and won a supermajority of seats within the National Assembly.

Prior to the 2021 Armenian parliamentary elections, Civil Contract announced that they would be participating in the elections independently, effectively dissolving the My Step Alliance. Meanwhile, the Mission Party did not register to participate in the 2021 elections. In August 2021, the party merged with the Country of Living Party.

Ideology

During the party formation, leaders made clear that the party would not be explicitly Pro-Russian or Pro-Western but rather the party will focus on advocating the values of freedom and democracy in Armenia.{{cite web|url=https://news.am/arm/news/127844.html|title=Հայաստանում ստեղծվում է նոր կուսակցություն' "Առաքելություն"|website=news.am|access-date=24 October 2019|date=8 November 2012|language=hy}}
