Mista is the only studio album by Atlanta-based R&B youth quartet, Mista, released on July 30, 1996 via East West Records. Produced entirely by super-producers Organized Noize (TLC's "Waterfalls"), Mista was fueled by the release of the album's first single "Blackberry Molasses". According to Organized Noize producer Rico Wade:

{{cquote|[Blackberry Molasses is] innovative. It starts out with almost a medieval feel. It's one of the most visual songs on the album with strong harmonies and a great melody.{{cite web |url=http://www.hiponline.com/artist/music/m/mista/ |title=Mista |publisher=Hip Online |date=2008-02-17 |accessdate=2008-09-29}}}}

"Blackberry Molasses" peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The album's second single, "Lady" performed less well, peaking at number 61 in December 1996.{{cite web |url=http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/58717/ask-billboard |title=Ask Billboard |publisher=Nielsen Business Media, Inc. |date=2006-04-18 |accessdate=2008-09-29}} Despite the success of "Blackberry Molasses", Mista peaked at No. 37 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums{{cite web |url=http://www.billboard.com/charts/1996-10-19/r-b-hip-hop-albums |title=Mista: Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums |publisher=Billboard |date=1996-10-19 |accessdate=2008-09-29}} {{Dead link|date=October 2010|bot=H3llBot}} and has sold just over 100,000 copies since its 1996 release.
