Gameplay

The stylus is used to pull Mister Slime's four elastic arms to different anchor points spread throughout the levels. On top of that, players are able to send Mister Slime flying on a gust of wind and provide him air bubbles underwater.{{cite web |last=Greenhough |first=Chris |date=March 28, 2008 |url=https://www.engadget.com/2008/03/28/immerse-your-eyeballs-in-slime/ |title=Immerse your eyeballs in Slime |publisher=Engadget (DS Fanboy) |accessdate=October 14, 2017}} Both functions are executed by the player blowing into the system's built-in microphone.{{cite web |last=Hinkle |first=David |date=March 4, 2008 |url=https://www.engadget.com/2008/03/04/southpeak-announces-mister-slime-for-north-america/ |title=SouthPeak announces Mister Slime for North America |publisher=Engadget (DS Fanboy) |accessdate=October 14, 2017 |archive-date=October 14, 2017 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20171014234518/https://www.engadget.com/2008/03/04/southpeak-announces-mister-slime-for-north-america/ |url-status=live }}

The presentation is comparable to LocoRoco or World of Goo with physics that feature and bouncing characters. Also similar to both games is the characteristic elasticity playing an important role in the core gameplay.
