MobLand is a British crime drama television series created by Ronan Bennett, who is set to write the entire series. The series began as The Donovans, an origin story to the Showtime series Ray Donovan following the Donovan family. As the story was further developed it was reworked as a standalone story unrelated to Ray Donovan. Guy Ritchie is attached to direct some episodes in the series. The series stars Tom Hardy as Harry, a fixer for the Harrigan crime family led by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren.

The series premiered on March 30, 2025, on Paramount+.

| ShortSummary = Harry, the Harrigan crime family's fixer, is assigned to mediate a truce between two feuding mob bosses, Mehmet and Costas, under the employ of the family patriarch Conrad Harrigan and his wife, Maeve. Both men and their crews are eliminated after it is revealed that they had been stealing from Conrad. Meanwhile, Conrad's grandson Eddie goes on a drug-fuelled night out with Tommy Stevenson, son of rival crime boss Richie Stevenson. They head to a seedy club with Tommy’s friends, despite Tommy and the owner Valjon’s reservations. The night ends with them fleeing after Eddie stabs a patron following an altercation. At an operations front in a garage, Harry is then asked by Eddie’s parents, Kevin and Bella, to fix the mess, which he does so by forcing Valjon to delete the CCTV footage of the night, intimidating the stabbed patron, Hughie Campbell, and disposing of Eddie’s incriminating clothes at a Harrigan-owned mortuary. Harry then heads home to his daughter, Gina, and his wife, Jan, who has begun therapy to deal with his prolonged absences, which she wants to attend with him. She meets a woman there, Alice, whom she befriends. Harry’s respite is interrupted when news arrives that Tommy has gone missing since the incident, and that Richie knew Eddie was with him. Eddie denies any knowledge of Tommy’s disappearance, and after threats from Richie, the families agree to a sit-down. Harry heads over with his team, Zosia and Kiko, who lie in wait as Harry asks for a day to investigate. Maeve and Conrad also call off a spontaneous hit on Richie as he and Harry leave. That night, Conrad invites his eldest son Brendan, Kevin, their half-sister Seraphina, longtime advisor Archie and the family lawyer, O’Hara, to a meeting, announcing his decision to improve the family's finances by getting into fentanyl, a trade controlled by the Stevensons. Archie objects, but having previously been swayed by Maeve’s suspicions of Archie’s traitorous dealings with the Stevensons, Conrad shoots him dead after Maeve states his apparent duplicity to the rest of the family.

| ShortSummary = Harry is called in to get rid of Archie’s body, where Kevin recounts the night’s events to him. Conrad and Maeve reaffirm their decision to move in on the fentanyl. Archie’s body is disposed of via the morgue, but Harry is arrested suspiciously quickly the following morning, revealed to be the result of a tip-off from someone inside the family. He is questioned and coerced to give up the Harrigans by an officer, DS Fisk, before O’Hara gets him out. After a face-to-face meeting with Richie, where he insists on questioning Eddie himself, Kevin has him moved to Conrad and Maeve’s estate, the Cotswolds, by Zosia and Kiko. Richie’s thugs attempt to kidnap or kill Eddie en route, but are foiled. Brendan then comes to Seraphina with a business proposition for the family, but she shames him and leaves on account of his ineptitude before he can tell her. Harry raises the possibility to Conrad that Archie was also a police informant, unaware of the other, and is asked to find proof. Bella, meanwhile, orchestrates a secret meeting of her own between her and her estranged father, Lord Pennock, and the shifty Antoine for access to his government contacts, hoping to gain leverage on Pennock. Harry then goes to smooth things over with Richie, who reveals surveillance on Gina, using her as collateral if Tommy is not found. An increasingly unhappy Jan contemplates divorce. Bella asks for Harry’s help in her plot, but he refuses, warning her off it. Maeve comforts and reveals her deep influence on Eddie. Harry then continues his search for Tommy by questioning the two boys who were with Eddie and Tommy, and they reveal that Eddie knew Valjon, who had previously feigned ignorance about him when questioned by Harry. He returns to the club with Kiko and Valjon is viciously beaten into submission, revealing he knows Tommy’s whereabouts. He then leads Harry to a trunk in the back of the club, containing Tommy’s ravaged, dismembered corpse.

| ShortSummary =

Kevin’s house is bombed, and Harry takes Jan and Gina to an indebted “friend”, Mike, to lay low. He threatens two of Richie’s thugs into retreat before meeting Kevin and Eddie at a covert shipyard, noting a tail from DS Fisk and his partner Mukasa. At the shipyard, they confront Eddie with a bloodied Valjon, who confirms that Eddie murdered Tommy and had paid him £10,000 to get rid of the body. A furious Kevin updates Conrad and Maeve, who, at Maeve’s pressing, do not even berate Eddie despite the implications and the mobilisation for a war. The couple then privately agree to let Harry sort out the situation, but to murder Richie’s wife, Vron, and then him, as a contingency. Harry loses the police tail with Kevin’s help and fulfils a promise to Jan by getting their helper’s mother into a nursing home by granting favours, where he also spots a former corrections officer who abused him and Kevin where they first met, incarcerated together as youngsters. After, Kevin and Harry cleverly convince Valjon to take the fall for Tommy’s murder, using his children as additional leverage. Richie appears convinced when Valjon is brought into his custody, but continues to torture him through the night. Harry then meets Bella, who requested assistance after her meeting with Antoine and her father went sideways. The episode closes with the police discovering Archie’s body after receiving another anonymous tip.

| ShortSummary =

The recovery of Archie’s body rouses suspicion of another mole in the family, especially from Maeve, as only Conrad and Harry knew where he was buried. Meanwhile, Kevin and Harry continue to await Richie’s verdict from his torture of Valjon, where he divulges a disturbing truth about Bella. A mysterious stranger claiming to be Harry’s friend, Donnie, visits Zosia at the garage, promising Harry “good news”. Jan proceeds with couples’ therapy until Conrad visits her and Alice at the O’Hara home, threatening her into keeping her silence about Harry and the family’s affairs. Maeve continues her manipulation of Eddie and her secret ploy. Jan tells Harry about Conrad’s visit after a tense discussion of their own, causing concerns, and it is also revealed that Alice is a mole for the police, working to get closer to Conrad. Harry visits Bella with the recordings he had earlier strong-armed from Antoine and warns her against the clandestine deal again, but she persists. As Harry leaves, he bumps into an arriving Kevin, leading to an awkward conversation between the husband and wife after. At a meeting of Richie’s request, Harry is asked to come alone and finish off Valjon as a sign of good faith, and he brutally does so, appeasing Richie who has seemingly taken the bait. However, Richie ominously requests that the Harrigans attend Tommy’s funeral.
