Sandbox
{{ping|Trappist the monk}} - This module uses a sandbox module. Christian75 (talk) 06:44, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
:{{reply|Christian75}} the module was related to lua conversion of {{t|Infobox Chinese}}. Since he/she is an admin, the module can increase protection level, and move out from sandbox entirely by the decision of the admin and template editors. Matthew hk (talk) 07:24, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
::I think it's just a mistake. Modules should not use sandboxes, because everybody should be allowed to use the sandboxes - that's the point of having sandboxes. Christian75 (talk) 07:32, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
:Just an oversight on my part; fixed. I have raised to protection level of this module and ~/data to match {{tlx|Infobox Chinese}}.

Template merger
{{ping|Trappist the monk}} I'm currently implementing the mergers with {{tl|Infobox East Asian name}} and found that alternative names aren't supported for Korean and Japanese. Could this be added? I will take a look at implementing it myself, but if you who already understand this template and have done it already for chinese could do it that would be very appreciated. Thanks! --Trialpears (talk) 21:20, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
:Ping did not work. What do you mean by {{tq|alternative names aren't supported for Korean and Japanese}}?
:—Trappist the monk (talk) 11:19, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
::I was reffering to fields such as hangul2 and kana2. --Trialpears (talk) 14:12, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
Tangut
Could someone add support for Tangut characters and transcription, for use in {{template|Infobox Chinese}}. BabelStone (talk) 13:53, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
{{infobox Chinese
|title=Appropriate title text
|lang1=txg
|lang-content1=txg content
|lang-hdr1=Header text for Tangut
|lang-ipa1=ipa text
|lang-rom1=romanized text
|lang-std1=romanization label
|lang-lit1=literal translation
}}
:you can use:
::
|title=Appropriate title text
|lang1=txg
|lang-content1=txg content
|lang-hdr1=Header text for Tangut
|lang-ipa1=ipa text
|lang-rom1=romanized text
|lang-std1=romanization label
|lang-lit1=literal translation
}}

Wikilink for Wu Chinese romanization
{{Infobox Chinese
|s=吴语
|t=吳語
|wuu=ngu1 ngiu2
}}
Could any language lover advised me how to replace the plain-text column "Romanization" with
for the language wuu (Wu Chinese)? For example, see the transcription section of the Template:Infobox Chinese on the right. -- love.wh 09:27, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
:It seems some mystery language lover have fixed it, thanks! -- love.wh 02:40, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
Unnecessary font specification
Why is the following line, 919 necessary?
It tags the Zhuang language text in this font. Test the article, Nanning. I see that, Namzningz is written in basic Latin alphabet, therefore, it is very unnecessary, and if it should still be, then a class
must be included to allow us to change (nullify) the choice of the font.

{{edit template-protected|Module:Infobox multi-lingual name/data|answered=yes}}
Please modify line 35 t change from
"vale to the correct parameter for use in child infobox ShoneBrooks (talk) 15:32, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
:Not done. line 35 is correct as written.
:—Trappist the monk (talk) 15:46, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
::I may be wrong (or maybe the line count was off), but the text in question appears to be part of the code comments wherein "parameter" is misspelled as "paramter":
::--
::Table to map |showflags= value to an index into label_map for child infobox |labeln= value and to map |showflags=
::vale to the correct parameter for use in child infobox |datan= paramter
::Please reconsider the "correct as written" assessment. I also suspect "vale" should be "value." Thank you! ShoneBrooks (talk) 16:42, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
