QID lookup from enwp article title

Italicization does not work for news publications

{{t|Wikidata}} does not work appropriately for citing news sources, where the newspaper should be in {{para|work}} and should be italicized (unlike {{para|publisher}}, which is not; see {{t|cite news}} documentation and discussion over the years at WT:CS1 for more). Currently, the template is only able to pull from {{wikidata property link|123}}, with no equivalent to work on Wikidata. As use of this scales up, it's crucial that we resolve this issue to make the two projects interoperable. Thoughts? {{u|Sdkb}}talk 22:22, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

:An example usage would probably help us understand. I don't think this template is intended to do what you want to do. You might look at {{tl|Cite Q}}, which has its own problems but which is intended for citing sources using Wikidata information. – Jonesey95 (talk) 02:30, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

Use for P18 in [[Template:Infobox ancient site]]

If anyone savvy at converting away from this deprecated module is reading here, please see Template talk:Infobox ancient site#Undocumented Wikidata image behavior - broken. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:21, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
