Hayat started his career with Lyallpur. He made 4 appearances in the 2014 PFF League.

By the end of 2014, Hayat joined Pakistan Premier League departmental side WAPDA. International career

The following year he was then named to Pakistan's squad for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Cambodia, earning praise from local media for his performance at right-back.
