Mohanpur State ({{langx|gu|મોહનપુર}}; {{langx|hi|मोहनपुर}}) was a small princely state belonging to the Mahi Kantha Agency of the Bombay Presidency during the era of the British Raj.[https://dsal.uchicago.edu/reference/gazetteer/pager.html?volume=17&objectid=DS405.1.I34_V17_390.gif Imperial Gazetteer of India, v. 17, p. 384.] It was centered on Mohanpur town,[http://www.maplandia.com/india/gujarat/sabarkantha-himatnagar/mohanpur/ Mohanpur location] in present-day Sabarkantha district of Gujarat State, and included 52 villages.

History

A predecessor state was founded around 1227 by an ancestor of the later kings named Thakore Jaspal, but its history is obscure.[http://members.iinet.net.au/~royalty/ips/m/mohanpur.html Royalty - Mohanpur (Princely State)]

The last ruler was Vinaysinhji Sartansinhji who was born in 1909 and rose to the throne in 1927.
