Monstera tuberculata, also called the giant Monstera or the giant velvet-leaf Monstera, is a species of plant in the genus Monstera native from Mexico south to Panama.{{cite POWO |id=163963-2 |title=Monstera tuberculata }} It grows in lowland wet tropical biomes up to {{convert|200|m}} in elevation.{{Cite journal |last=Madison |first=Michael |title=A Revision of Monstera (Araceae) |date=1977 |journal=Contributions from the Gray Herbarium of Harvard University |issue=207 |pages=3–100 |doi=10.5962/p.336443 |jstor=41764722 |s2cid=249074247 |issn=0195-6094|doi-access=free }} Similar to Monstera dubia and a few other species in its genus, when young M. tuberculata has a shingle-like growth habit with leaves tightly pressed against the trunks of trees. As it matures, it has short-stemmed, oval leaves that lack the fenestrations of better-known species like Monstera deliciosa. Unusually for an aroid, its fruit hangs like a pendant.{{citation|author=Deni Bown|title=Aroids: Plants of the Arum Family|year=2000|publisher=Timber Press|isbn=978-0-88192-485-5|pages=201 }}
