Montbron ({{IPA|fr|mɔ̃bʁɔ̃}}; Limousin: Montberol) is a commune in the Charente department in southwestern France on the Tardoire river.
François Victor Alphonse Aulard (1849–1928) was born in Montbron.{{Cite EB1911|wstitle=Aulard, François Victor Alphonse|volume=2|first=Charles|last=Bémont|author-link=Charles Bémont|page=916|short}} He was the first professional French historian of the French Revolution and of Napoleon.
