Mordella is the type genus of the tumbling flower beetle family (Mordellidae), its subfamily Mordellinae and the tribe Mordellini.{{Cite web|url=https://www.gbif.org/species/112834642|title=Mordella Linnaeus, 1758|website=www.gbif.org|language=en|access-date=2017-11-23}} Its species are found on every continent except Antarctica.
