Mothership Space Net Penthouse
The Mothership Space Net Penthouse was an aerial hammock in Moab, Utah, hand-woven from 14,000 feet of cordage and rigged by the Moab Monkeys, a group of over 50 people led by slackliner Andy Lewis, during Thanksgiving 2014.[http://gearjunkie.com/mothership-space-net-penthouse], Sean McCoy, Gear Junkie website, "Mothership Space Net", December 3, 2014, 10:15 pm, accessed April 19, 2016{{cite web|last1=Tamblyn|first1=Thomas|title=These Guys Built A Giant Hammock 400ft Above The Utah Desert|url=http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/12/12/giant-hammock-daredevils-utah-desert_n_6314076.html|website=Huffington Post UK|accessdate=19 April 2016}}
The net was suspended over 400 feet above the ground, forming a pentagon shape that covered approximately 2,000 square feet, with five lines anchoring it to the surrounding cliffs. Lewis spent several years acquiring the necessary materials to construct the net. Highliners traversed the five legs of the net, which spanned up to 80 meters (262 feet), while BASE jumpers leaped from the human-sized hole at the center of the net.[http://www.mnn.com/lifestyle/eco-tourism/blogs/highliners-base-jumpers-rig-massive-aerial-space-net-over-moabs-red], Catie Leary, Mother Nature Network website, "Highliners, BASE jumpers rig massive aerial space net over Moab's red desert cliffs", December 12, 2014, 9:00 am, accessed April 19, 2016 The pentagonal web was positioned more than 200 feet away from the nearest cliff.[http://www.boredpanda.com/spider-web-base-jumping-moab-monkeys-utah/], Bored Panda website, "Daredevils Put A Handmade Net 400 ft Up And 200 ft From The Cliffs", accessed April 19, 2016
