On January 4, 2011 Motorola Inc. split into two companies: Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions.{{Cite web |title=Motorola splits into two. In February 2015, the company acquired Emergency CallWorks, a provider of Next-Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) call-taking software for public safety.
