Critical reception

Jon Land of the Providence Journal felt that, while the novel didn't stack up to other novelists' works in the genre, it still "never ceases to entertain".{{cite news |title=A new round to thrilling thrillers |first=Jon |last=Land |newspaper=Providence Journal |date=March 22, 2009 |url=http://www.projo.com/books/content/BOOK-THRILLERS-FEB._03-22-09_3KDC72H_v12.f2e8eb.html |accessdate=October 20, 2010}}
