The majority of the range lies within the Pine-Lemoray Provincial Park and is noted for its snowmobiling, hiking and ski touring opportunities. The boundaries of the Murray Range generally lie between the Misinchinka River to the west and Mountain Creek to the east; the Pine River to the north and Mount Reynolds to the south.{{Cite book|last=Holland|first=Stuart S|url=http://www.empr.gov.bc.ca/Mining/Geoscience/PublicationsCatalogue/BulletinInformation/BulletinsAfter1940/Documents/Bull48-txt.pdf|title=Bulletin 48: Landforms of British Columbia--A Physiographic Outline|publisher=K.M MacDonald, Province of British Columbia|year=1976|pages=89|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160304185301/http://www.empr.gov.bc.ca/Mining/Geoscience/PublicationsCatalogue/BulletinInformation/BulletinsAfter1940/Documents/Bull48-txt.pdf|archive-date=2016-03-04}}
