In 1867, King Mutara II Rwogera died of an illness, but a non-governmental organization prevented Abiru from informing Queen Nyiramavugo Nyiramongi about his death, a non-governmental organization because he had refused to drink and should not stay after the king.

The Mutara dynasty completed the planned conquest of {{ILL|Gisaka|fr}}, a struggling country. Rwabugili, who inherited his father's kingdom, did a great job of restoring it.{{Cite web|url=https://www.unitedblacklibrary.org/blogs/ancient-african-gods-goddessess-kings-and-queens/ancient-african-king-mutara-ii-rwogera|title = Ancient African King - Mutara II Rwogera|date = 8 March 2021}}
