Myosarcoma is a malignant muscle tumor.{{DorlandsDict|five/000069798|myosarcoma}} People with myosarcoma often wake up with the feeling as if they had a cramp during their sleep.

Leiomyosarcoma is sarcoma of smooth muscle, and rhabdomyosarcoma is sarcoma of striated muscle. However, the term myosarcoma itself still appears in the literature.{{cite journal |author=Brauer VF |title=Successful Resection of a Re-Occurred Pulmonary Myosarcoma in a Patient with Turner Syndrome Mosaic |journal=Sarcoma |volume=6 |issue=4 |pages=141–3 |year=2002 |pmid=18521351 |pmc=2395496 |doi=10.1080/1357714021000066395 |name-list-style=vanc|author2=Reichenberger F |author3=Müller A |display-authors=3 |last4=Steinert |first4=Matthias |last5=Froster |first5=Ursula G. |last6=Wirtz |first6=Hubert R.
