NCAT Pavement Test Track

The NCAT Pavement Test Track is an oval-shaped track in Lee County, Alabama, {{convert|1.7|mi|km}} long, used for testing experimental asphalt pavements.{{cite news|title=Truckers Are Pitted Against Pavement To Root Out Bumps |agency=Associated Press|newspaper=Wall Street Journal|date=November 6, 2000|page=A31C}} It is managed by the National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT), the largest asphalt research center in the western hemisphere{{cite journal|last=Fortner |first=Brian |date=June 2000|title=Road test |journal=Civil Engineering|pages=50–55|publisher=American Society of Civil Engineers}} and a cooperative venture between the National Asphalt Pavement Association's (NAPA) Research and Education Foundation and Auburn University.
