NGC 3254 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Leo Minor. It was discovered on March 13, 1785, by the astronomer William Herschel.{{cite web|url=http://cseligman.com/text/atlas/ngc32a.htm#3254|title=New General Catalogue objects: NGC 3250 - 3299|author=Seligman, Courtney|website=cseligman.com|accessdate=2021-05-17}} It is a member of the NGC 3254 Group of galaxies, which is a member of the Leo II Groups, a series of galaxies and galaxy clusters strung out from the right edge of the Virgo Supercluster.{{cite web | title=The Leo III Groups |work=Atlas of the Universe |url=http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/galgrps/leoii.html |access-date=2010-11-27 |archive-date=July 22, 2012 |archive-url=https://archive.today/20120722223749/http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/galgrps/leoii.html |url-status=live }}

Two supernovae have been observed in NGC 3254:

  • SN 1941B (type unknown, mag. 15.1){{cite simbad|title=SN 1941B|accessdate=2021-05-17}}{{cite web | website=Transient Name Server | title=SN{{nbsp}}1941B | url=https://www.wis-tns.org/object/1941B | publisher = IAU | access-date=27 November 2024}} was discovered by Josef J.
