Nalini Ravishanker

Nalini Ravishanker is an Indian-American statistician whose work focuses mainly on time series analysis. Education and Career

Ravishanker graduated with a B.Sc in statistics from Presidency College, Chennai (India) where she was awarded the Bysani Chetty gold medal for being the 1st ranked in B.Sc.{{Cite web |title=Nalini Ravishanker, Department of Statistics, University of Connecticut CV |url=https://nalini-ravishanker-scholar.media.uconn.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/1677/2024/01/vita-July-2024.pdf |access-date=12 May 2025}} After her graduation, she moved to the USA to pursue a Ph.D. in statistics from New York University, where she was one of the early recipients of the Paul Willensky Scholarship Award. Immediately after her Ph.D, she was associated with IBM Research, Yorktown Heights as an independent consultant, and later as a visiting scientist.
