Nanjing Agricultural University

Nanjing Agricultural University can be traced back to the Agriculture Section of Sanjiang Teacher's College ({{lang-zh|三江师范学堂}}) in 1902, and its predecessors were the College of Agriculture of the private Jinling University and the College of Agriculture of the National Central University. In 1949, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, the College of Agriculture of the former private Jinling University was renamed as the College of Agriculture of the public Jinling University, and the College of Agriculture of the former National Central University was renamed as the College of Agriculture of the National University of Nanjing. Wheat genetic breeding experts Jin Shanbao became the first chairman. In July 1984, approved by the Ministry of Education, Nanjing Agricultural College was renamed Nanjing Agricultural University. in December 1998, Nanjing Agricultural University officially entered the national "Project 211" key construction of universities.
