Critical reception

Times of India wrote "The premise isn't without potential, but it needs a script that is water-tight and a director who knows how to execute it. Sadly, Naga Venkatesh's script is childish, and his direction haphazard that we start fidgeting barely moments into the film."{{cite web |url=http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tamil/movie-reviews/Narathan/movie-review/51670908.cms |title=Narathan Movie Review, Trailer, & Show timings at Times of India |website=timesofindia.indiatimes.com |url-status=dead |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20160409020958/http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tamil/movie-reviews/Narathan/movie-review/51670908.cms |archive-date=2016-04-09}}
