Nathan David Saatchi ({{langx|ar|ناثان دافيد ساعتجي}}; 24 December 1907 – 31 May 2000) was an Iraqi businessman and textile merchant.

Early life

Saatchi was born on 24 December 1907 into a middle-class Jewish family in Baghdad, then part of the Ottoman Empire.[https://jewishjournal.com/news/94/schimmels-summer-school-paul-schimmel-moca/ By Tom Teicholz, June 23, 2006, Schimmel’s Summer School (Paul Schimmel & MOCA)] The name "Saatchi" (sā'ātchi), which means "watchmaker", originates from Ottoman Turkish (Saat: Originally from Arabic, -çi: Turkish suffix meaning maker in context). Career

In Iraq, Saatchi was a textile merchant and imported goods primarily from Manchester. Personal life

In 1936, he married Daisy Ezair (1920–2000),Mosley, Charles, editor. Burke's Peerage, Baronetage & Knightage, 107th edition, 3 volumes. Wilmington, Delaware: Burke's Peerage (Genealogical Books) Ltd, 2003, volume 3, p. 3455. and they had four sons, including:
