He is a member of the Janata Samajwadi Party and was appointed to this position in July 2024. He previously served as the Minister for Forests and Environment, where he was involved in environmental protection initiatives.
He is also the Deputy Chairman of the People's Socialist Party, Nepal.

Political career
Sah began his political career in 1967.
