Netherplace is a hamlet in East Renfrewshire. It is to the west of Newton Mearns, and adjacent to the M77 motorway. The settlement is almost entirely along the Netherplace Road. It contains a farm, as well as some houses, and a reservoir. It also used to be home to the Netherplace Dye Works,{{cite web|url=https://www.mearnshistory.org.uk/index.php/history/bleachfields-and-printworks/netherplace|title=Netherplace|publisher=Mearns History Group|accessdate=28 October 2020}} which was demolished in 2016,{{citation needed|date=October 2020}} after a fly infestation{{cite web|url=https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-42429951|title=Fly-infested dump in Newton Mearns cleared of tonnes of waste|publisher=BBC|accessdate=28 October 2020}} across Newton Mearns which also spread to nearby Giffnock and Clarkston.{{citation needed|date=October 2020}}
