The Nichols Medal is the annual award to the "best and fairest" player in Australian Rules football competition the Northern Territory Football League in the Northern Territory, Australia.{{cite web|url=http://www.aflnt.com.au/index.php?id=242|title=AFL Northern Territory: Joseph Nichols|publisher=AFL Northern Territory|accessdate=7 November 2013}} It is named in honour of Joseph W. Nichols {{post-nominals|country=AUS|MBE}},{{cite web|url=http://www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/43344/supplements/4975/page.pdf|title=Supplement to The London Gazette, 13th June 1964|date=13 June 1964|work=The London Gazette|accessdate=7 November 2013}} a long time administrator of Australian Rules football in the Northern Territory.
