Racing career

Leitz made his Truck Series debut in the 2022 race at Nashville, driving the No. 43 truck for Reaume Brothers Racing.{{cite web |url=https://www.frontstretch.com/2022/06/21/nick-leitz-to-attempt-truck-series-debut-with-reaume-brothers/ |title=Nick Leitz to Attempt Truck Series Debut with Reaume Brothers |website=Frontstretch |date=June 21, 2022 |access-date=June 24, 2022}} He ran two more races later in the year in the team's No. 33 truck (Richmond and Homestead-Miami).

On May 1, 2023, it was announced that Leitz would run three races (Kansas in May, Nashville and Homestead-Miami) for Young's Motorsports in their No. 20 truck.{{cite web |first=Joseph |last=Srigley |url=https://tobychristie.com/2023/05/01/nick-leitz-inks-three-race-deal-with-youngs-motorsports/ |title=Nick Leitz Inks Three-Race Deal with Young's Motorsports |website=TobyChristie.com |date=May 1, 2023 |access-date=May 2, 2023}} After it was announced that Greg Van Alst would drive the No. 20 truck for the rest of the 2023 season starting at IRP,{{cite web |url=https://www.jayski.com/2023/08/09/greg-van-alst-to-pilot-youngs-motorsports-chevrolet-for-remainder-of-truck-series-season/ |title=Greg Van Alst to pilot Young's Motorsports Chevrolet for remainder of Truck Series season |website=Jayski's Silly Season Site |publisher=NASCAR Digital Media, LLC |date=August 9, 2023 |access-date=September 29, 2023}} it was assumed that Leitz would drive the team's No. 02 truck instead at Homestead-Miami, as the truck had a rotation of drivers and no driver had been announced for that race. However, Brad Perez would end up driving the No. 02 truck at Homestead-Miami and Leitz would stay in the No. 20 with Van Alst not running that race. Leitz also made his Xfinity Series debut that year in the race at Kansas, driving the No. 38 car for RSS Racing in place of Joe Graf Jr. who was driving the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 car in that race instead.{{cite web |url=https://www.jayski.com/2023/09/07/nick-leitz-making-xfinity-series-debut-for-rss-racing-at-kansas/ |title=Nick Leitz making Xfinity Series debut for RSS Racing at Kansas |website=Jayski's Silly Season Site |publisher=NASCAR Digital Media, LLC |date=September 7, 2023}}
