Nick Lowe ({{IPAc-en|l|oʊ}}; born 1956) is a British classical scholar and film critic.

Early life and education
He was born in Manchester, England, and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. He was educated at Fettes College, Edinburgh, before going on to read classics at Jesus College, Cambridge,"Tripos results, including geography, philosophy, classics, economics", The Times, 28 June 1977, p. 18. where he received his Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.[http://www.classicalassociation.org/CLASSICI/RHUL.html Classicists in British Universities]. His doctoral advisor was Geoffrey Kirk.
Career
